The list is out

It is now official---R is on the batallion command list.


It looks like he will be taking command of 787th MP Batallion at Ft. Leonard Wood next summer. Ironically, Ft. LW is where he went to basic training fresh out of high school almost 22 years ago (are we that old?). He began his Army career there and will more than likely end it there. Those of you who know me (everyone reading this blog) realize that I am generally not a mooshy person, but I will take this opportunity to give some well-deserved cudos...
I am SO proud of R! From day one he has excelled in the Army world. It's been a mutually beneficial relationship for both the Army and him. But more importantly, with God's guidance (sparked by two little people who came into our lives about 5 1/2 yrs ago) he has also blossomed into a wonderful husband and father. He always manages to balance and prioritize so that he never puts the job before the kids and me. We never have a doubt where he prefers to be. That's the way it should be.

BTW, he will pin on LTC August 1st.
